NIH RePORTER

NIH RePORTER is a public research project and funding data platform provided by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). Its API enables querying of NIH-funded and related agency projects, covering fields such as grant/project ID, Principal Investigator (PI), institution, fiscal year, total award amount, direct costs, indirect costs, project title, abstract, keywords, and research topics. For QVeris, this API can supplement granularity in research funding amounts and supports queries—by PI, institution, year, or disease/technology topic—for grant_id, amount, year, and topic. It is suitable for pharmaceutical R&D intelligence, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) identification, laboratory funding capacity analysis, and research trend monitoring. The API is free to use and requires no login or API key; however, users should limit request frequency and comply with NIH RePORTER’s usage guidelines.
