Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED)

FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) is a web service provided by the Economic Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis that allows developers to retrieve economic data from the FRED and ALFRED websites. Users can customize their requests by data source, release, category, series, and other preferences. The API provides access to over 800,000 economic time series from 108 sources, including categories, releases, series, sources, and tags, as well as geographic data through the Maps API (GeoFRED).
