TASK PATH
Connect Professional Data to Your AI: Discover, Inspect, Validate
Use this path when your existing AI client needs a professional dataset. Separate choosing the dataset from choosing the transport. A working MCP connection can expose discovery tools while a particular provider call still needs parameters, permission and budget.
Choose your next step
Describe the task before choosing a tool
Specify the dataset, geography, time range and expected output. Discover candidates and inspect their actual schemas rather than guessing a tool identifier from a provider name.
Connect an MCP-capable client
Follow the existing integration guide and current MCP documentation for your client. Keep credentials in the client secret configuration and verify connectivity before executing a provider task.
Inspect inputs and validate a result
Confirm required parameters, units and permission. Run one bounded task only after checking cost, then preserve the source and retrieval time. A listed tool or copied config is not a successful result.
Use the terminal when it fits your workflow
Choose the CLI path for a terminal workflow and follow its own setup instructions. Do not assume MCP client settings are interchangeable with CLI authentication.
Inspect the available services
- Alpha Vantage
A financial-data discovery example: inspect the current catalog, choose a specific data task and verify its schema before using it.
- CoinGecko Pro
A crypto-data discovery example. Verify asset identifiers, quote currency, timestamps and plan restrictions; this page does not claim provider endorsement.
Define a verifiable first result
Success means the intended client obtains a valid result for the agreed task and the result can be checked against its source. Connectivity, configuration copy, discovery and an execution receipt are separate stages. Stop on unavailable tools, permission errors, unexpected price, stale data or missing required fields; do not silently substitute a different dataset.
Check current access conditions, coverage, licensing, rate limits and charges in the provider/tool details before execution. No provider call was performed to validate this navigation page.
